The Gynecologic section of ELEFTHO polyclinic provides a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
We hold a strong tradition in the use of Ultrasound scans, since we were the first to introduce this technique in the region of Northern Aegean Sea. All of our offices are equipped with volumetric Ultrasound machines providing the highest detail in imaging. The range of the exams covers:
- Transvaginal Ultrasonographies (TVUS)
- Transabdominal Ultrasonographies (TAUS)
- Sonohysterographies ( For the diagnosis of uterine intracavitary disorders).
- Breast – Mammary Ultrasonographies.
- Ovarian/ Follicular Doppler examination.

The department is equipped also with diagnostic and surgical Colposcopes and we provide:
- Colpscopies, Pap smears, Thin prep examination
- HPV seroidentification
- Uterine - cervical Biopsies

- Cryotherapy of the cervix
- Loop Excisions
- Laser Ablations
- Electrosurgical Ablations
- Argon Beam Ablations
Thus diagnosing and treating all lesions of the cervix of the uterus, the vagina and the vulva.
We do also effectuate all of the treatments of the classical gynecology:
- Hysterectomies
- Lymphadenectomies
- Ovarian cyst excisions
- Myomectomies etc
Finally we provide the full investigation of the sub-fertile and the infertile couple. We effectuate homologous inseminations and in collaboration with IVF Centres we provide in vitro fertility solutions.
